About The Conference

The One Gospel Conference is an annual Christian conference hosted at Community Baptist Church, Ruiru, along the Eastern Bypass. We invite you to this two-day immersion into various theological themes. This year, several speakers will unpack 2 Timothy, illuminating its contemporary relevance for the church. We will address critical ecclesiological challenges, fostering a deeper understanding of doctrinal fidelity, spiritual resilience, and the imperative of sound biblical teaching. Join us for a weekend of biblical exposition and theological engagement.

Theme: Steadfast and Faithful: Living out God's call.

Rev Dr. Thuo Mburu

Head of Christian Education and Discipleship, CITAM

Rev. Dr. Thuo Mburu offers a wealth of experience. With a PhD and decades of pastoral leadership, including chaplaincy at PAC University and senior pastor roles, he's deeply committed to biblical truth. He's an author and passionate about world missions, marriage, and mentoring. He's dedicated to equipping the church with strong biblical foundations.

Pastor, Community Baptist Church

Charles Irungu, founding pastor of Community Baptist Chapel Ruiru, brings over a decade of ministry experience. Holding a B.A. in Theology, he passionately focuses on family, youth mentorship, missions, church planting and is dedicated to building Christ's church. Known for his expository teaching and apologetics, he equips believers with biblical truth. He's married, and a father of two children.

Rev Robert Namakwa

Deputy Senior Pastor, Gracehill Mission Church

Rev. Robert Namakwa blends medical science with theological depth. Holding a Master of Divinity from AIU, he passionately engages in biblical teaching, marriage mentorship, and student guidance. He's a husband, and a father of three children. His ministry interests extends to non-fiction writing and gospel music

Ezekiel Baraza

National Director, Scripture Union of Kenya

Ezekiel Baraza has a passion to serve the young generation. With a Master's in Leadership from PAC University and previous extensive experience at FOCUS Kenya, he excels in scripture engagement, leadership, integral missions and organizational development. As a husband and father, he champions holistic Bible engagement among children. He also contributes in various capacities to national Christian bodies like EAK and NCCK, driven by a vision to cultivate Christlike individuals who impact the world.

Masinde Lusui

Assosciate Pastor, Community Baptist Church

Ibrahim Masinde Lusui is married with two children. A JKUAT alumnus in Computer Technology, he now serves Trinity Fellowship and Community Baptist Church as an Associate Pastor. He's currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity at Southern Evangelical Seminary. His passion lies in biblical truth, preaching, evangelism, and discipleship.

Assosciate Pastor, Community Baptist Church

Sherman Ouko, an engineer and associate pastor at Community Baptist Church, balances technology with ministry. A husband and father, he's also an author and songwriter. He's passionate about missions, equipping young people, and apologetics. He seeks to equip others with reasoned answers to life questions on science, faith and philosophy.
