Scriptures
We believe that all scripture, both New and Old Testaments, are given by the inspiration of God. Scripture is the verbally, plenary, inerrant and inspired Word of God and serves as the only supreme and final rule of faith and practice. We believe that the whole Bible in its full composition of 66 books is true and without error and that the men of God were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words found therein.
The Godhead
We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—and that these three are one God, having the same nature, attributes, and perfections, and worthy of all praise, honor, worship, and obedience.
We believe God the Father is sovereign over all things. He is Holy, loving, slow to anger, gracious, faithful, abounding in steadfast love and full of mercy. He is desiring of the repentance of all men and saves from sin all those who come to and trust in Him. As Creator, He is Father to all men, but He is spiritual Father only to believers.
We believe Jesus Christ became a man through the miracle of the virgin birth. He is both fully God and fully man, yet perfect and without sin. He rose from the dead, thus confirming that we too will rise from the dead. He ascended into heaven and now serves as mediator between God and us. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and those of the whole world according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person and is eternal. He guides believers unto all truth, empowers us to follow Christ and grants us gifts to serve the church. We believe that all gifts of the Holy Spirit should be exercised in accordance with scripture for the perfecting of the saints. We believe the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin righteousness and judgement. We believe that every Christian has the Holy Spirit and is indwelt at the very moment he exercises saving faith in Christ.
Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, this spiritual death being separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are therefore under just condemnation to eternal ruin without defense or excuse.
Salvation
We believe that man has hope of redemption in Christ Jesus after the fall and that by the conviction of the Holy Spirit can freely respond in faith to the Gospel. We believe that all who truly repent of their sins and believe on and receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit and are thereby children of God and are eternally saved. It is God’s desire that every person be saved. God doesn’t delight in the death of any sinner. We believe that that when a person responds in faith to the Gospel, God promises to complete the process of salvation in the believer into eternity. The believer is hence eternally secured upon belief in Christ Jesus.
Baptism
We believe that immersion in water is the only mode of water baptism taught in the scriptures; and that it has no saving power, and that the new birth is the requirement for baptism. Therefore, only those who are old enough to understand sin, to repent and to believe, should be baptized. Scriptural baptism is our testimony of faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Saviour.
The Church
We believe that a New Testament Church is a body of believers, assembled for worship, service for the Lord, the spreading of the gospel into all the world, and that it is the highest organization taught in the Scriptures. Christ is the Head! We believe all who are united through the Holy Spirit by faith in Jesus are a part of the Body of Christ. The church is part of God's design to equip believers while together glorifying God through worship, service, teaching and evangelism.
The future
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the just and the unjust, the eternal punishment of the lost, and the eternal joy of the saved.
The Great Commission
We believe that Christ has commanded the church to reach to the lost through evangelism, discipleship, and teaching men to observe the word of God. This Great commission was Christ’s final command to his disciples.
Satan
We believe that Satan is real and personal, the agent of the fall, the prince and power of this world, and that he shall be judged and eternally punished.
Church leadership
We believe that the Bible teaches that the offices of pastor should be held by men only.
The Christian Walk
We believe that all the saved are called into a life of separation from all worldly and sinful practices. We believe that we are called with a holy calling, to walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit, and so to live in the power of the indwelling Spirit that we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. But the flesh with its fallen, Adamic nature, which in this life is never eradicated, being with us to the end of our earthly pilgrimage, needs to be kept by the Spirit constantly in subjection to Christ, or it will surely manifest its presence in our lives to the dishonor of our Lord.
